Hypnosis
The state of Hypnosis is a natural phenomenon. It is very pleasant and deeply relaxing
Contrary to the popular portrayal of hypnosis, there is absolutely no question of being controlled or manipulated, especially as used in hypnotherapy or hypno-psychotherapy such as hypnoanalysis. A person in hypnosis is not able to be made to do anything that he or she did truly not want to do. Everything done or said by a person in hypnosis is done completely voluntarily. Indeed, even entering the state of hypnosis is itself only possible as a voluntary action, and, except for mentally disabled people and very young children, everybody can enter the hypnotic state.
In Hypnosis there is absolutely no question of being controlled
It gives a feeling of mental and physical relaxation.
A Definition
A good definition of Hypnosis is: A state, induced by suggestion, of deep relaxation and concentration accompanied by a heightened awareness.
How does it happen ?
As your therapist I will use my voice to induce you into the state of hypnosis. There is no such thing as a “hypnotised feeling”, so you are unlikely to feel hypnotised as such. But you will probably experience a feeling of relaxation. Your memory may well be enhanced. This state of deep relaxation allows your body to exercise its own natural healing functions without being hindered by the effects of stress. These stress effects are initially lessened, and with repeated hypnotic sessions, are dramatically reduced.
By ringing now to arrange a free initial consultation you can avail of an opportunity to experience this for yourself. I am here to provide a safe and caring environment, and nothing magical, mystical or paranormal is involved.
